   U.S.; Express, Truman & Co's, 1865 Usage, illustrated frank in blue on 3¢ pink (#U59) buff entire, blue cancelled with ms. "March 13th 1865" to San Jose, a Very Fine cover. Truman carried on the Express operation as Truman & Co. after Chapman withdrew in early 1865. Truman & Co's Express operated over the same route between San Jose and San Francisco. By 1869, Wells Fargo had gained control over all of the express business of this route.
