U.S., Pacific Union (1868-1869): Cordelia, Cal. to Canada, red ribbon frank with red printed advertisement for H. Buhrmeister & Bro., Bridgeport, Cal., with "Cordelia Cal" (Solano County) in m.s. entering the mail system, lovely 3¢ 1869 issue and 3¢ envelope both canceled with 2 m.s. strokes and paying 6¢ rate to Prince Edward, Ontario in 1870, probably a postal use without express carriage, 2 indistinct Canada backstamps, Very Fine usage after the Wells Fargo takeover, a wonderful cover of great rarity .
