U.S., Aerospace; "Filatelica Luna - the Moon, the Men, the Mail", 1980 typed manuscript by Matthew Radnofsky is important source material relating to the covers flown to the moon of Apollo 11-12, 14-17 because Matthew Radnofsky, along with his wife Eunice, conceived, created and developed the covers carried by the astronauts, complete with illustrations, this publication validates and explains both the flown covers and the Postal Service creation of the Apollo 11 stamps and it's lunar flight, generally Fine to Very Fine. To maintain accuracy, Mr. Radnofsky forwarded this typed manuscript to Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins who read, and NOTATED this manuscript, incl. is a handwritten note by Michael Collins on letterhead stationery during the time he was head of the Smithsonian Institute, Collins autographs and notations are rare and highly desirable.
