U.S. Postal History Groupings, Spanish-American War Correspondence, 17 letters and 10 postal cards from Edward Ryals, Jun 19 to Sep 14, 1898, several letters were written by Ryals when he was initially on board the Massachusetts Naval Militia training ship USS Minnesota, before he transferred to active U.S. Navy ship USS Catskill, an old Civil War monitor which was recommissioned for patrol duty in New England waters, many have interesting content on ship board life, duties, target practice and the like, mixed condition.
