Sent from Entotto to Harar, postmarked June 25, 1897, Harar July 4 and July 5 cancels on reverse, small tear upper right on envelope, very scarce item, Fine to Very Fine, Sismondo (2007) cert. It has been calculated that between 600 and 700 letters were posted in Ethiopia in the year 1897, and the vast majority of these were addressed abroad .
