U.S.: World War II Patriotic Covers, Balance of Dr. Lawrence Sherman Patriotic Exhibit, lot consisting of 187 patriotic covers mounted on 117 exhibit pages along with the 39 preceding lots makes up the entire 10 Frame Gold Medal winning exhibit prepared by Dr Lawrence Sherman titled "World War II Through American Eyes", incl. many fine and scarce covers and scarce usages, one mailed by Tin Can Mail and another returned by the base censor to the officer that self censored the cover in the 1st place, cachet makers incl. Fluegel, Staehle, Sayama, Teixeira, Linto, Minkus, and many others, nineteen hand painted incl. artists such as Borkowski, Knoll, Herman Maul, Melba Meyers, and others, two are signed by Staehle and one by Minkus, lot must be seen to be appreciated, Fine to Very Fine.
