Russia Soviet Field Post of W.W.II, lovely exhibit written up on pages, 128 covers or cards, a study of the workings of the Soviet field post system in the period during and around the war, incl. pre-German invasion, FPO markings in the wartime period, censorship illustrating a variety of censor and control marks and unusual usages of censorship, covers to and from Leningrad during the siege and blockade (1941-42), mail to and from FPO addresses, some illustrating the markings of the VPSP's, types of FPO usages incl. franked military mail, covers from Polish forces in Central Asia, and the "Polish People's Army" in the USSR, FPO covers to the NKVD and covers from Soviet soldiers in occupied Germany and Austria after the war, worth a careful inspection, generally Fine to Very Fine.
