U.S.; Encased Postage Issues, L.C. Hopkins & Co., Cincinnati 10¢ Green, #EP105, 10¢ good color, well centered, case with minor scrapes at the top of some letters and on rim on front, mica with minor problems incl. small crack at the "TS" of "CENTS", and rather heavy lamination across the "TEN CENTS" at bottom, otherwise normal light lamination and usual surface wear, PF mentions no defects whatsoever, Extremely Fine and rare, probably 5 known copies. The Ford sale catalogue (Stack's 6/23/2004, lot 519) offered another example of this rarity with the comment, "There may be only three of these in existence (not including this one). Siegel sale of April 2008 sold an inferior copy that realised a hammer price of $3250. PF (2008) cert.

Scott $6,000. This is a newly discovered copy of #EP105 which may bring the copies known to five (See above).
