Postcards; U.S., Premier Collection of Vintage Edward Mitchell, 2300+ cards all identified, main collection consists of 1600 with all different views or numbers, with an additional 700 dupl., from the very early years onward, all carefully arranged by numerical sequence and newly sleeved, ships, Military, exaggerations, railroads, exhibitions, and various city views of the Western States, overall condition ranges from VG to nearly mint. Based in San Francisco, Edward Mitchell was one of the most prolific postcard publishers on the West Coast from late 1890's to early 1920's.
