Italy, Venice Republic "AQ" Lettersheets, lot of 6 unused, world's first Officially sold postal stationery, these letter (tagli) sheets were headed with the letters "AQ" were first issued by the Venetian Water Commission, first issued in 1606 under a law which required all Venetian governmental bureaus to pay a fee of 4 sols for every letter sent, which had to be written on authorized printed forms such as there, Fine.
