U.S. Postal History Groupings, Eleanor Roosevelt Correspondence to Al Kresse, 10 signed letters incl. 2 entirely written in her own hand (1935-1960), contents mention FDR and son Elliott, warm invitations to visit the White House, going with FDR on 1940 Presidential campaign, one letter (secretarial signed) is invitation for Al and "Chickie" to visit for lunch at White House and show off the new baby, wonderful historical lot, Fine to Very Fine. Eleanor befriended Al Kresse during Great Depression when she encountered him hitchhiking and seeking work, helped him secure job with Civilian Conservation Corps and visited with him and his wife "Chickie" at several camps, she was godmother to couple's girl, whom they named Eleanor.
