Ch. #4491, $5 1882 Brown Back, with rare serial #1, this is a previously unlisted note from this bank, this would be a wonderful addition for any collector of Nationals, PMG graded Choice About Uncirculated 58.
KL-1119, Kelly lists only 2 known notes from this bank, which liquidated in 1910; a $5 Brown Back in poor condition, and a $10 Brown Back in VF.

N.h., this error is due to a rate change and whilst the error of value is shown on the British Post Office's own brochures at the time, all sheets were destroyed, except a few that were pre-released to major dealers overseas, the rarest British miniature sheet, Superb, only the second time this error has ever been offered at public auction.
