Liberia, 1848 Missionary letter from Greenville Sinoe.
Datelined May 10, 1848, addressed to Walter Lowrie, Board of Missions New York with m.s. Capt. Lawkin ship Madona, and collect red 6 in circle, from Judas M. Priest who was later Vice President of Liberia from 1864 to 1868, Fine. Ex. Thomas Lockard Liberia collection. Walter Lowrie was U.S. Senator and later on the Presbyterian Missionary board, nice item of early Liberia history .
