U.S., General Issues, 1901, Pan-American, 1¢ Green & Black, Center Inverted, #294a, unused, "thin at top center", excellent color, great centering (as nice as it gets), Extremely Fine appearance. According to Johl, the 1¢ Pan-American Inverts were found in at least four different post offices around the country soon after release of the issue in May 1901, including Bessemer Ala., Richmond Va., Utica N.Y. and Connecticut. 2007 P.S.E. cert. graded VG 50. Scott $12,500 (as o.g.). Estimate $1,800-2,200.
