Ephemera, 1879-81 USS Wyoming European Station Correspondence. Lot of 21 multi-page letters datelined USS Wyoming, from various ports in France, England, Spain and Italy, from Oliver H. Lackey, U.S. Navy officer, to his wife and son in Nice, France and Stuttgart, Germany, majority have original covers, generally Fine. The USS Wyoming, a wooden hulled 1480 ton steam sloop, was assigned to U.S. Navy European Station from 1878 to 1881, where she visited many Mediterranean ports. Estimate $250.
