Venezuela, Officials Superior Collection to 1944, from a collector in Venezuela who last exhibited this collection in 1965, hundreds on handwritten pages in oldtime album, starts with 1898 issue mint and used with blocks, shades, 1899 issue along with surcharges in magenta, inverted, double with inverted, pair with and without overprint, 1900 issue with proofs and blocks, 1904 with color varieties, 1912 with double center, extensive punched "GN" issues starting in 1910, errors, used multiples (scarce), punched "GN" starting with 1925 Bolivar mint blocks, printed on gum side, 1932 complete blocks of 4, 1933 issue with surcharge and date omitted, misplaced, 1937 Italian printings in blocks of 4, and many varieties, 1937 Resellado set complete, followed by Airs starting with the 1930 issue incl. blocks of 4, 1932 complete mint and used, 1931 issues, later with punched "GN" varieties, also 1899-1900 registration, some toning, but an overall excellent lot rarely seen, very under priced in Scott, worth a close look, generally Fine to Very Fine, many items probably purchased in the F.D.R. collection, sold by H.R. Harmer in 1946 .
