OCT 11 c.d.s. with interesting Grand Worthu Patriarch Nov 13 1850 corner cachet, also with beautiful enclosure dated Oct 10 from G.W. Jermain of the Sons of Temperance advising in the letter to avoid conflict over the excise law, Extremely Fine and choice. The "S of T" was first organized in 1842 with the purpose of total abstinence from intoxidating drinks.
