Portugal: Study of Postmarks and Cancellations, Collector's study contained in 9 binders, staring with stampless period (1796 incoming Ship mail from France to an officer), 1826 Brazil to Lisbon, stamp period with 1853 issue and showing the roundbar cancels on homemade pages with the towns and corresponding numbers, followed by the 11 bar, with 3 covers, also selection of the "52" Oporto cancels, and then the 8 bar, binder 3 has a selection of the first 6 issues followed by various copies showing different cancels, included in these are multiples which are rare, a separate page for the 1866-67 set followed by numerous cancels, few on piece and a couple of covers, all issues follow the same format, also a selection of telegraph cancels, special cancels, nothing much beyond 1920?s period, early covers scattered throughout, a fabulous collection painstakingly put together over some years, very difficult to duplicate.
