Hong Kong, 1941 Detained Letter, posted by Canadian Army individual in Hong Kong, addressed to Winnipeg, 11AM DEC 7, 1941 (about 20 hours prior to Pearl Harbor attack), fell into Japanese hands and kept over the War period noted by boxed "Detained in Hong Kong" marking, finally sent, censored "187" on the reverse (probably done prior to fall to the Japanese), pencil marking September 24, 1945 may indicate when it arrived in Winnipeg, very interesting cover, a Fine to Very Fine cover.
