American aviation pioneer, reserve officer in the U.S Army Air Corps, Doolittle was recalled to active duty during WW II and awarded the Medal of Honor for his valor and leadership as commander of the Doolittle raid on Tokyo, dated November 6th 1977 by the Pate Museum of Transportation in honor of James Doolittle and signed on the outside by him.
