U.S.; State Postal History, Utah: 1859 (Circa) Salt Lake City Territorial, Paid three in arc dated NOV 4 to NY, slight faults at bottom right, Fine. Richards emigrated from England by way of ship General McClellan. His sisters, Sarah Ann and Martha, traveled with him. Martha was included on 1864 Rawlins Company list of passengers and in James' obituary claims that he traveled to Utah with her and Sarah.
