Korea; Empire Covers and Used Postal Stationery, 1902 (June 12) Underpaid Cover to U.S., #19, 21, 23a, franked with 1 chon perf 11 pair, 3 chon perf 11 single and 5 chon perf 10 single, tied by indistinct bisected-circle postmark in red (possibly Jinju), "Chemulpo Coree" transit backstamp (June 21) with black Postage Due boxed handstamp alongside with circular "T" handstamp on front (both in a much deeper black than the transit backstamp), "San Francisco" arrival (July 14) with U.S. Postage Due straightline handstamp on front and 10¢ Postage Due tied by "San Francisco" double-lined oval, Very Fine and attractive, lovely cover, presumably double-weight, which required 20 chon postage . Estimate $300-400.
