Texas Postal History; Confederacy, Stampless, Rio Grande River, 1860s, Soldier's Mail, 2 Usages to Dallas, first; from near the Rio Grande River and endorsed "from Rio Grand PM Pleas forward as thare is no way of paying postage", routed to Orizaba where it was placed in mails and endorsed "paid"; second, from same sender, endorsed "Favor of Capt. W.T.G. Weaver" and apparently carried outside mails for a time before placed in the mail somewhere along its journey where it was endorsed "paid" with no town marking, stain on first cover, soiling on second, still nice pair, Fine.
