Washington" signed, along with George Gilpin (revolutionary soldier and officer who served with Washington), and John Fitzgerald (served in middle Colonies (1776-1778) under Washington) signed Aug. 5th 1786, on receipt dated April 19th 1786, saying " received from Wm. Hartshorne 4 barrels of pork one box of soap and one teirce of rum to be delivered to James Rumsey…". Featured in Grand Rapids Herald article of Feb. 22 1954.
