Apr 12 1934 and addressed to a collector who submitted 2 slightly burned Akron crash anniversary cacheted covers cancelled by USS Northampton Apr 4 1934, a letter from acting PM of L.A. informs "advised we find no record of the recent destruction of mail in this matter at this office, and Postmaster, San Pedro, advises that covers were received at his office in their present condition.", great collateral material for the specialist, Fine.
