Autographs, Jay, John, (1745-1829) Statesman, signature on handwritten letter from John Jay to John Adams, dated 16 Feb 1788, a letter of reference for Mr. Adrian Kifsam, slightly dampened causing minor bleeding of the ink, plus January 10, 1799 U.S. Army appointment for Adrian Kifsam signed by James McHenry (Secretary of War, namesake of Ft. McHenry) and the 1748 will for Daniel Kifsam (Adrian's father), great historical items. John Jay was President of the Continental Congress, first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the second governor of New York.
