Smith, held at Philippines Military Prison Camp #1 (Cabanatuan), all sent to his mother in Bonanza, OR, all with Japanese censor chops, 2 with U.S. censor h.s., last card with Bonanza Sep 17 1945 receiving cancel and forwarded to Cresent City, CA (small piece missing on card), Fine to Very Fine. Pvt. Smith was a member of the 33rd Quartermaster Regiment assigned to the Coast Artillery Corp., he died on the Japanese "Hell Ship" Arisan Maru which was sunk on Oct 24, 1944 by the USS Snook.
