U.S. 1919, 3¢ Victory on Unusual 1924 Trans Polar Flight, #537, 3¢ strip of 3 on the special card for the Expedition, originally was to be handled by 2 6¢ Washington-Franklins (barely visible under 3¢ adhesives) for the registry marking dated 4-2-24, returned to sender with attached notation citing N.Y.P.O. bulletin dated 1-3-24, sender put strip over the other adhesives and remailed 4-16-24 making a 7¢ overpayment, card then returned from Expedition franked with Norwegian adhesives, highly unusual, a Very Fine cover and important piece for the Polar collector.
