1906 San Francisco Earthquake Emergency "Passes", First dated April 23rd, "Pass the bearer through all lines out of the city and allow him to return again", signed by Chief of Police Jeremiah Dinan (became Chief in April 1905), second dated April 22nd, "Kindly pass 'David L. Gormant' through the lines" signed by Captain J. Duffy, Adjutant, First Regt. N.G.C., both on tissue type paper, fascinating piece of local history, fine.
