Illustrated page 26 of British Pictorial Envelopes of the 19th Century by Ritchie Bodily, Ex Robson Lowe 1967 auction. 2017 Sismondo cert. Scott #1, British Pictorial Envelopes of the 19th Century book records a total of 20 used examples of the Fores's Comic Envelope, at least 5 are fronts, another 5 have adhesives missing or replaced), most existing copies have some repairs or small faults .
